The Company

CommercialApps.com (referred to as CAPPS) was created from a specific need of the commercial property loan origination industry. The need was having the ability for mortgage brokers to submit income property loan applications to one or more lenders, via the Internet. Since no web-based loan origination system and application submission service existed for the commercial industry, CAPPS was created.

For mortgage brokers, the most difficult and time-consuming part of securing an income property loan is in the beginning. This is called the loan application to Letter of Interest (LOI) period. The primary goal of CAPPS is to help mortgage brokers obtain the LOI for an applicant with minimal effort.

The CAPPS process has been in use since 2001. In 2002, the concept of utilizing this process in a web-based application was considered and a feasibility study was drafted. In 2003, the website layout and design began. In 2004, CommercialApps.com, LLC, a California limited liability company, was formed. Website development commenced at the beginning of 2005 and the site was launched in March 2006. In 2005, the U.S. Patent and Trademark office granted a registration for the CAPPS name and logo. In addition, a patent application was filed for multiple components and processes. The patent application is currently pending approval.

Mortgage brokers and lenders alike have designed CAPPS. Their suggestions molded the look and feel. But it's only the beginning. CAPPS will never be complete. Continuous adaptation to industry and technology trends requires constant monitoring and program changes. Staying a leader in the industry ensures a viable service and the success of the users.
